Future is defending Lil Wayne over his controversial lyrics on the remix to Future's track "Karate Chop."
When Wayne takes the mic on the track, he makes a vulgar sexual reference to Emmett Till. Future tells MTV News that Wayne never meant to disrespect Till or his family, who has demanded an apology from Wayne.
The rapper says that Weezy "had no bad intentions" when he compared Till's beating murder to a sexual act.
Apparently, the offensive nature of the lyric never crossed Wayne's mind. Future says now that the song has been pulled from circulation he's trying to move on and "find a way to build."
Emmett Till's murder in 1955 helped galvanize the civil right's movement. The 14-year old was beaten, tortured and killed after reportedly flirting with a white woman during a visit to Mississippi.
