Drake is opening up about the motive behind his most recent single "Started From the Bottom." 

The Young Money rapper tells MTV News he had hoped to tell the back story of his life through the track.  In the song Drake lets listeners know that he wasn't always living the lavish life.  He even raps about working in a pharmacy to provide for himself before hitting it big. 

Drizzy says he wrote the song so fans would know that he had to work really hard to get to this point in his career.  He adds that his success "wasn't just a fluke" and "wasn't easy by any means."  

"Started From the Bottom" is the first single off Drake's upcoming third album Nothing Was the Same.  So far the album does not have a release date.
