Change.org, a group that previously urged advertisers not to support Basketball Wives has their sights set on a new target: Love And Hip-Hop: Atlanta.

Referring to the VH1 reality show as “premium digital crack,” the organization is urging sponsors to pull their adds from the show. “As we work toward national- and local-level change, let’s tell VH1 and their sponsors (again) why people from a broad range of backgrounds will NOT stand for the exploitation of the lived experiences of people who may not even know they’re being exploited,” added the organization. “This isn’t a ‘Black or White’ thing, this is a HUMAN thing…and we should all understand.”

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

  • Do you think Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta is “digital crack” being marketed to Black folks? Or do you think it’s just entertainment?
  • Do you think VH1 is specifically looking to exploit African-Americans?
